Abstract
Perangkat keras untuk menghubungkan saluran pelanggan disebut sebagai Access Node (AN). Access Node menyediakan antarmuka untuk opsi koneksi berikut: koneksi analog (jaringan telepon umum, PSTN), akses dasar ISDN (ISDN-BA), akses laju utama ISDN (ISDN PA), dan terminasi jaringan yang terpisah dari AN. Dengan menggunakan antarmuka V5.2 pada Access Node, dimungkinkan bagi perangkat keras yang diproduksi oleh pabrikan berbeda untuk dihubungkan ke node jaringan untuk koneksi terpusat saluran pelanggan.
