Analysis of Antibiotic Drug Inventory Control with ABC Method, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), and Reorder Point (ROP) in Pharmacy XYZ January - December 2019

Inventory control is a very important action in meeting the demand needs. This study aims to analyze the control of antibiotic drug supplies, the optimum quantity of antibiotic drug orders, and the timing of the ideal antibiotic drug reordering at XYZ Pharmacy for the period January - December 2019. The data used are secondary data. To determine priorities, a grouping is carried out based on ABC analysis. Furthermore, the calculation of Economic Order Quantity and Reorder Point is carried out. The results of the ABC investment analysis showed that 53 types of drugs were included in group A absorbing 74.71% of investment, group B with 73 types absorbing 20.33% of investment, group C with 126 types absorbing 4.97% of investment. Based on the EOQ method, the optimum ordering amount for each drug varies from 1-1451 drugs and based on the ROP method, the antibiotic drug reorder points vary from 1-838 drugs. This calculation is useful to assist in procurement so that there is a balance between service levels and costs..
