Abstract
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is caused by insulin resistance and impaired insulin secretion. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of the use of antidiabetic drugs in patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in the Outpatient Installation of RSUD dr Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. This research is descriptive with data collection obtained from the patient's medical record. The sample used was 104 medical record data. Based on the results of the study, the gender who suffers from Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is female, namely 55.77%, the age range of the most patients suffering from Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is in the age range of 56-65 years (late elderly) which is 45.19%, without disease. comorbidities as much as 17.31%, and with comorbidities as much as 82.69%. The most common comorbidities included hypertension 35.58%, neuropathy 32.69%, cardiovascular disease 27.88%, and dyslipidemia 26.92%. The pattern of using the most antidiabetic drugs is the combination of insulin-insulin (Long acting-Rapid acting) as much as 35.58%, while in the pattern of using a single drug, the use of single insulin is 23.08%.
