STUDI LITERATUR PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM PENGHANTARAN SEDIAAN OBAT DARI SENYAWA AKTIF KURKUMIN

Curcumin has potential health benefits but water solubility and low bioavailability. This literature study aims to compare the results of several studies that developed curcumin delivery systems to increase its bioavailability. The curcumin delivery systems compared were nanoparticles, nanoparticles with PLGA, liposome encapsulation, cyclodextrin encapsulation, and their combination with piperine. Nanoparticles without encapsulation have the best quality, considered on observations of particle size values, polydispersity index, zeta potential, and encapsulation efficiency.
